The Orange County Polo Club (OC Polo) had its start over 30 years ago at a stable near Anaheim Stadium and was originally known as the Winston Polo Club. It was here that Denny Geiler first became involved in polo and would later take on the role of Club President. Over the years, the club has been located at many equestrian facilities throughout Orange County.
Recently, Denny jumped at the chance to ensure that OC Polo will always have a place to call home in Orange County. In 2015, Denny and his family purchased an older stable in Silverado Canyon, and built a brand-new state of the art stables and polo facility at the renamed Rancho Silverado Stables. The new facility showcases two polo arenas, stabling for over 60 horses and a clubhouse that acts as a central gathering place for family and friends.
OC Polo is a family affair. Many of our members, management, staff and ownership are multi-generational polo players. Even the family members who don’t play polo, play an integral role in our club.
For those new to the sport, the Club features a polo and riding school run by USPA Certified Polo Instructor, Heather Perkins. Students of all ages and experience levels are welcome. Believe us when we say anyone can learn to play polo!

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING TO YOUR FIRST LESSON
Boots or shoes that have a slight heel to prevent your foot slipping through the stirrup. Hiking boots are okay. Sneakers or shoes without heels are not recommended.
Your attire should be comfortable. Think t-shirts or polo shirts (not spaghetti straps). Jeans, not shorts. Or feel free to wear riding attire you already have.
Consider the weather, it can cool down when the sun goes down.
Helmets will be provided or you may bring your own.
While we do not advise riding with your phone, we do recommend taking many pony selfies when you are finished.
